The Place of Women in Leadership & Ministry Project

This is an individual and team project in two parts. These parts must be completed in order.

Prerequisite: you must first have finished the team project: Spiritual Man/Woman Project#1.

1. Individually, please study the tape series: Women and Leadership & Ministry in the Church by Dr. Malcolm Webber.
Please study Women in Leadership. SpiritBuilt Leadership#10 at the same time.

2. In your teams please complete the following "pro-contra style" assignment:

Each team member will have a role in this debate type activity. The members may decide among themselves who will take which role, or they may ask a supervisor to assign roles. Each member will be responsible for their own work. Each paper should use biblical citations.

The following are the roles and responsibilities:

Team Member A:

Choose one of the extreme positions related to this debate. Make as strong a case as possible for this position. Write a five paragraph paper with lead sentence and 4 support sentences per paragraph.

Team Member B:

Taking the position of the opposing extreme, make counter claims or arguments to the first member’s statements. Write a five paragraph paper with lead sentence and 4 support sentences per paragraph.

Team Member C:

Compare and contrast the two previous positions by doing the following:

1. Briefly paraphrase Member A’s and Member B’s positions. One paragraph each.

2. Evaluate each of their positions. Three paragraphs each.

3. Set forth an alternative balanced position. Two paragraphs.

Team Member D (if applicable):

Evaluate the preceding three papers. Five paragraphs.
