Read the Parable of the Sower and the Seed — Matt 13:1-9. For seed to grow and bear fruit it must be planted in good soil. There are four conditions that help promote good soil for the seed (God’s Word) to flourish in your life.
People grow in a spiritual context. A spiritual context is the realm of God. This is where you interact with God, connect with God, experience God through the supernatural and through the ordinary. In what ways are you cultivating the soil of being centered in the Lord?
People grow in a relational context. A relational context is the realm of friendships, mentoring, sharing life together .... In what ways are you cultivating the soil of good relationships?
People grow in an experiential context. A relational context is the realm of doing, experience and of trial and error. In what ways are you cultivating the soil of doing in your life as a follower of Christ?
People grown in an instructional context. An instructional context is the realm of instruction but not just information being passed on to fill a head. This type of instructional context engages the learner in the process. In what ways are you cultivating the soil of instruction in your life by engaging in the actual learning process?
Memory verse: Romans 12:1-2
"I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect." Romans 12:1-2
