1. Draw a large circle and inside the circle on the right side of the circle list all that concerns you, which are out of your immediate control. This is your circle of concern.

Drawing #1 below

2. Now, draw a smaller circle in the middle of the bigger circle. Inside the smaller circle list areas of concern you can do something about starting now. This is your circle of responsibility.

Drawing #2 below.

3. Ask yourself, which circle do I live in, focus on and I dwell on?

4. Read Jesus’ words in Matthew 6:24-34, especially 33-34. In light of points #1-#3, discuss with your group what you think Jesus means about not being anxious for tomorrow for today has enough trouble of its own.

5. Choose to focus on your circle of responsibility and tackle these issues one by one - start now. Do not procrastinate.

6. Draw a Large circle that encompasses both of your circles. Label this the circle of God’s responsibility.

Drawing #3 below.

7. Read 1 Peter 5:7 & Ps 55:22 and then take the items in your circle of concern and “cast” them before the Lord and give them over to His circle. Secondly, ask God for the grace to tackle your circle of responsibility.

8. As you begin, share your life and concerns with a couple of close friends who can pray with and for you and help you stay accountable.

9. Celebrate God and the victories He gives you.
