Leadership Responsibilities (an ongoing learning experience)

Context: Individual
Focus: Competencies

There are two kinds of specific leadership responsibilities you will all take turns in fulfilling, beginning immediately:

Each month, one member of the cohort will accept the responsibility of giving general oversight to the cohort. The cohort leader is directly accountable to the Staff and will be responsible for:
  • Punctuality.
  • Accomplishment of activities.
  • Integrity of devotional time.
  • Service projects.
  • Cohort projects and presentations.
  • Direction of daily opening time, devotional time and wrap up time, with interaction from the Staff and others as necessary.
  • Relational unity.
  • General conduct.
  • Cohort feedback to Staff and Director.
  • Daily end-of-day report to Staff.

At the end of each month, this leader will discuss with the cohort his own self-evaluation and reflections. He will also receive evaluation and comments from others.

  • Day Leader.
Each day, the cohort leader will appoint one participant to take responsibility the next day for:
  • Daily devotional time: 15 minute devotional for ConneXions and LFF staff, encouragement, envisioning.
  • Wrap up time: creative reflection and synthesis of the day’s learning.
