Be bold and help out

Leaderpedia is a growing collection. However, many articles are stubs, or otherwise need attention. Go ahead, Be bold, and jump right in.

Things to do

  • Clean up standard formatting on each of the major pages, esp. Ideas.
  • Write definitions for what should go into each of the major categories.
  • Create subcategory codes for each Learning Experience?

Policies and guidelines

Leaderpedia is establishing policies, guidelines, and conventions. This is a very brief sampling of some of the most important; for more information, see the main policies and guidelines page. Policies and guidelines apply both to articles and how to work with fellow editors. For easy access, the shortcuts to the pages are also listed.

Article standards

  • Be Bold. We want you to be ready to add material to the Leaderpedia, and to be willing to make edits to material that already exists. Don't be afraid--you can't crash the system, and every change is logged and can be undone if need be. Apathy kills networks, so please make contributions!
  • Cite sources. When you add material, please be sure to appropriately cite any sources that you have used. Use hyperlinks to the original source where possible.
  • Copyrights. Please honor copyright law and do not post copyrighted material without permission.
  • Editing policy. Please be kind to the work of others! If you see grammar or spelling errors, be bold and correct them. If you see a place where a wiki-link can be made and strengthen the article, please make it. On the other hand, if you disagree with the content or approach, make your critique on the discussion page of the article--do not wholesale change the article itself.
  • Image use policy. Please don't use copyrighted images. There are plenty of open source images available.
  • What Leaderpedia is not. (We ought to expand this section so we know what we should not post.)

Working with others

Here are some general policies that we can describe over time:

  • Assume good faith
  • Avoid instruction creep
  • Civility and etiquette
  • Make decisions by Consensus
  • Don't bite the newcomers
  • Don't disrupt Leaderpedia to illustrate a point
  • No personal attacks
  • Resolve disputes
  • Vandalism will not be tolerated
