  1. Read Dallas Willard’s book — Hearing God. Take notes and summarize each chapter.
  2. Start a book Club and read this book together so that you can discuss what you are learning, what questions you have and how you are experiencing God’s voice.
  3. Invite someone you know who has walks with God, who you lives in consistent obedience to God to your home group and have a Q&A with him or her
  4. Suggestion: Begin each day with the way an unknown missionary started his day; “Good morning Lord. What are you doing today? May I join you?"
  5. Practice the presence of God in every arena of life by being on the lookout for God and what He may be saying to you throughout the day.
  6. Gather a collection of worship songs - make a praise song book and use it daily along with your Bible and your journal.
  7. Expect God to speak to you. Evaluate what you think you are hearing with the Word of God. God will never contradict what He says in the Scripture. Also, take what you think you are hearing from God and submit it to mature believers for affirmation, confirmation and or possible correction (see 1 Thessalonians 5:19, Gal 2:2).
  8. Live out in obedience to how God is directing you.
