1. Take the time in your group to share your story of how God called you — how you were saved.
2. Jesus Christ is to take first place in our lives - Col 1:18. We are created to enjoy Him — forever! What do you do to remain in fellowship, friendship, and connected to Jesus Christ on a regular basis?
3. For the next thirty days start a journal and record who Jesus is and what He is like as you read through one of the Gospels. At the end of thirty days, share your findings with a friend.
4. In your group, discover what God is up to. Look up the following verses and put them down in your journal in your own words. 1 Tim 2:4, 2 Peter 3:9, 2 Cor 5:17-20, Matt 28:19-20, 1 Peter 2:5,9. Now ask, in what part are you participating in God’s purpose?
5. Individually, look up these verses to discover God’s clearly revealed will: 1 Tim 2:4, 2 Peter 3:9, Eph 5:15-18, 1 Thess 4:1-5, 1 Peter 2:13-21, 1 Peter 2,6,19, 1 Peter 5:2, 1 John 5:14, 1 Thess 5:18, Rom 12:1-2, Heb 10:36. Evaluate your life with these statements. What change of behavior or attitude needs to take place in your life? Who will you be accountable to for such change?
6. When it comes to the Body of Christ, are you a consumer or a contributor? Work through the S.H.A.R.P.E.N. acrostic and then engage in an area of service to see if it is the right place or a good fit for you.
