“Put first things first and second things are thrown in. Put second things first and you lose both first and second things.” C.S. Lewis

Objective: Center every day around Christ - Colossians 2:8,19

1. Memorize and pray Colossians 1:9-12

Memorize and meditate on Paul's pray for the Colossians and pray this for yourself and for your church

2. Record your discovery of the depths of Christ and share your findings with your group - Colossians 1:15-20

Write down what you discover about who Christ is. Share your insights and gain insights from those in your group. If you don't have a group, form one.

3. Proclaim Christ by your life and by your lips - Colossians 2:24-29

Pray for friends, relatives, associates, neighbors whom are outside of Christ. Take them out for a coffee and share the Gospel with them.

4. Disciple a younger believer in the faith - Colossians 2:27-28

Involve yourself with the emerging leaders and help them build the 5Cs into their life.

5. Turn pressure into a springboard of faith - Colossians 2:6-7

Use the trials of life as a springboard for you to worship, praise and give thanks to God.

6. View your life from a “blue-side up” perspective - Colossians 3:1-4

"Blue-side up" is an pilot's expression in regard to the Attitude Indicator on the instrument panel of a planes cockpit. The Attitude Indicator tells the pilot the position of the nose of the plane in reference to the horizon. The upper portion of the Attitude Indicator is blue (therefore, blue side up). If the nose of the plane has a good attitude, it will perform as it should. If the attitude of the plane is bad or down the plane will not function well and is headed for a crash.

Choose to set your mind on things above where Christ is seated.

7. Change your old character clothes for Christ-like character clothes - Colossians 3:5-17

Through dependency on the Holy Spirit and through spiritual disciplines to connect you to Christ and with the encouragement of community go for character change.

8. Saturate your mind and heart in the Word - Colossians 3:16

Don't just listen the Word on a Sunday service but personally soak in the Word for yourself on a daily basis

9. Build your relationships and do you work as unto the Lord - Colossians 3:18-25

Deepen your friendship in your marriage, model the faith to your children and do your work heartily as unto the Lord

10. Be alert to “divine” appointments - Colossians 4:5-6

Ask the Holy Spirit to lead you and help you to be alert to those around you.
