- Has my love for God grown deeper through this experience? How? What will this look like in my life at home?
- Did God answer some prayers? Which ones? How did he answer?
- Did God leave some of your requests unanswered? Why might that be?
- What happened that was impossible without God?
- How did you see your gifts being used?
- Describe the clarity of God’s voice while you were over there.
- Was your sense of the supernatural heightened or lessened? How? Why? What does that mean for you now?
- If you could change one thing about your relationship with Christ on this trip what would it be?
- What specific thing(s) did God help me overcome?
- Did my expectations for God ever interfere with His expectations for me? What happened? What was the outcome?
- Was I spiritually aggressive or passive on this trip? How did that impact my time there?
- How can I carry that aggressive mindset into life at home?
Community
- How did I see God use my team member(s)? List all the ways you can think of.
- How did my team help me at certain points in the trip?
- Was there any observable relational tension between us? What caused it? How did we address it and work through it?
- Is there currently tension that hasn’t been resolved? Please talk to me directly or write to me.
- Which person impacted you the most? Why? How?
- What did you learn about “community” on this trip?
- Did you see a lot of people that didn’t know Christ? How did this impact you?
- Would you want the person that you are building to go on the trip you just took? Why? Why not? List both.
- What was the attitude of “community” among the people you stayed with?
- What aspects of their community were good? Bad?
- How did you interact with the cultural differences? What was the easiest part? Most difficult?
- Did I ever doubt members of the community there? Why?
- What specific way did God use the community there to build me?
Character
- Did you surprise yourself by your behavior on this trip? (Can be good or bad)
- List all surprising examples.
- Which part of the trip built the most character in me? Describe in detail.
- Was it easy for me to think of home and wanting others to have/share the things that I missed?
- What was my least selfish moment?
- Was it easy for me to find ways to serve without being asked?
- What did my time with God reveal to me about my character?
- Did my team aid in the process of my character development? How?
Calling
- In what specific way did God speak to me about my calling?
- Did I take some time to specifically seek God on my purpose in life? Why/Why not?
- Combining what God has shown you previously and during the trip, write out your 1, 5, and 10 year goals.
- List specific ways you could prepare for finding and fulfilling God’s purpose for you.
- How will my calling and God’s people around the world intersect?
Competencies
- Was I equipped for every task that I faced?
- Did I speak the Word with clarity, passion and credibility?
- Did I learn any new skills or improve any? List examples.
- How important was communication? Describe.
- What specific competencies do I need to gain as a result of this experience?
